Lakefront homes in Mimico, New Toronto and Long Branch. Close to the Lake Ontario shoreline, groundwater can sit high after long rains. These basements need pits deep enough to catch water before it reaches the slab, and pumps sized to keep up.
Creek-side homes. Streets near the Humber River, Mimico Creek and Etobicoke Creek see higher groundwater during spring thaw and big storms. A battery backup matters here, because the pit may run hard on exactly the nights the power goes out.
The Kingsway and Islington. Older, larger homes, often with finished basements and long discharge runs. We plan the discharge around landscaping and walkways so it drains away from the house without icing over a path.
Rexdale. A mix of bungalows and semis, including homes recovering from sewer backup claims that now need an insurer-ready install and paperwork.
