Victorian and Edwardian homes in The Annex, Cabbagetown and Trinity-Bellwoods. Stone or brick foundations, finished basements and older drains. The pit goes where the water collects, but we work hard to keep it inside a utility area or closet, finished with a flush sealed sump lid so it does not take over the room.
Rosedale and Yorkville. Larger homes, often with extensive finished lower levels and media rooms. Most of these jobs include a battery backup and a WiFi sump alarm, so the owner gets a phone alert for high water, power loss or a low battery wherever they are.
Davisville and Mount Pleasant. Semis and detached homes, often with an original pump that has never been replaced. Cast iron replacements and backup add-ons are the most common work here.
Kensington. Tight semis, rowhouses and mixed-use buildings where access and dust control matter as much as the plumbing.
